Kickoff Competition

We are excited to start our new blog and to celebrate we are going to have a Kickoff Competition. That is right people, it is your chance to win a free Fast Easy Bread Apron. Ok, here is how it works, all you have to do is leave a comment about your favorite Fast Easy Bread recipe and why it is your favorite. It can be an original Fast Easy Bread recipe or it can be one that you have created. One of my favorite recipes is the Taco Braid recipe because of the reaction I got from my husband when he ate it the first time. The entire time he was eating it he was making noises and telling me, “This is the best thing you’ve made!” If you have a modified recipe you can submit it to our web page by emailing it to us at recipes@fasteasybread.com or by clicking on this link to submit your own recipe directly to our website. You will be credited for your recipe on our site and others can enjoy it. If you haven’t tried Fast Easy Bread or any of the recipes, now is the time. Get started making delicious homemade pizza, bread, dessert braid, or cinnamon rolls with our bundle that makes 22 batches of homemade bread. We will announce the winner of our official Kickoff Competition on September 1st, 2010 by picking the person with the best story so check back with us then. Once again, this is not a competition about recipes, it is a competition to see who has the best story ABOUT a recipe. Good luck and have fun!

My favorite recipe has to be the pizza. It is so easy and so tasty. I also love making the stuffed crust with mozzarella sticks.

I use this recipe in our home more than twice a week, making pizza and cinnamon rolls. But my hubby's favorite is my Breakfast Rolls. I put scrambled eggs, sausage, and cheese in the middle of a roll that I have flattened out like a tiny pizza, then just pull up all the edges and make a roll out of it. I bake them for 15 min at 350… They are a huge hit. I had family in town this past week, and my 14 year old twin cousins didn't believe that I made them, he thought I bought them…. I also love to make calzones, all kinds!!

My family and I really enjoy the stuffd crust pizza, we just can't get enough! One of my all- time favorites at home and when teaching classes is the ultimately scrumptious cinnamon rolls! These are ate up soo fast! For a fun and yummy little twist on the frosting I use a cool whip, powder sugar, melted butter, and almond extract frosting concoction and these seem to be a HUGE hit, often compared to the delicious Yoder (Amish)cinnamon rolls!!

Last year for the holidays we traveled to see family. Wanting to save money I prepared kolaches (stuffed bread rolls) with the roll recipe. I made breakfast kolaches with sausage, eggs and cheese; and taco kolaches with taco meat, cheese, salsa. We heated them up if we had stopped for gas or ate them cold. They were great both ways. Upon arriving from Kansas to Indiana, I discovered I still had plenty left so my nieces and nephews began eating them. They absolutely loved them! My family has huge dinners and after the Christmas dinner my grandmother was trying to figure out what to do with all the eclectic leftovers for our New Years dinner. I suggested Kolaches. We had turkey and cheese, ham and cheese, taco again (my aunt makes a mean taco meat). My family could not believe how fast and easy the bread recipe was and how fast it was to utilize all the leftovers into a new meal!! I ended up selling 6 kits and showing all my aunts and cousins how to make other recipes as well! The pizza crust, which we used for stuffed crust pepperoni pizza and breakfast pizza, cinnamon rolls, monkey bread, and of course the kolaches were big hits and delicious! As always it was a trip full of family, good food, laughs, and love! Tia Schroeder from Wichita, KS (the Ice family from Alexandria, IN)

I've been experimenting with the braids for dinner since they are so easy to make. Our favorite it the "Sausage Broccoli Bread." Cook 1 lb. bulk sausage in a skillet until no longer pink. Remove with slotted spoon, set aside. In drippings saute 1 can italian diced tomatoes, chopped onion, and 1 head chopped fresh broccoli. Cook until crisp-tender and cool. Use half of the mixture to spread down the middle of your dough. (Freeze the other half to use for another meal unless making 2 braids.) Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese and make braid. Brush dough with 1 egg, beaten if desired and bake! So yummy! I've also used beef in place of sausage. Kelsey Lewis, Park City, KS

Love "Fast Easy Bread"!!! One day we had a lot of our college age nieces and nephews over for dinner and I decided to make the monkey bread for dessert. I still smile when I think about how they couldn't wait for it to cool to eat it and they were doing that open mouth, ohhh this is hot thing with their mouth trying to let it cool. They all loved it. The monkey bread is a great family bonding experience because everyone gathers around and they don't leave until every last crumb is gone. Yummmmmm, thanks for sharing.

We are loving the fast easy bread kit! I just hit my third trimester in pregnancy, and I am not feeling so hot, so I taught my 8 yr old the basic bread recipe the other day, and believe it or not, he is making bread now. He is always begging me to make pizza dough, or rolls, or whatever we may need for dinner, and I am loving the extra help. And I would really love an apron, because they are sooo cute! :) Way to go Lindsey.

So, I hosted a little playgroup with my new friends her in VA, and I made deep dish pizza and a thin crusted pizza! Well WHAT a hit.. One of the girls said, "we just went out for pizza the other day, and this is WAY better" … Best complement EVER!!! to make the deep dish, I used a 9" cake pan, after making the whole recipe, you cut it in half to make 2 pizzas or what ever you are making, if you cut it in half again, you can get 2 deep personal size deep dish pizzas out of half the recipe.. then the other half you can make a regular one or 2 more deep dish personal pizzas! I love making them like this, each person can put their own toppings and it fits on a plate perfectly! just another fun idea with this AMAZING, brad recipe!
