I watched Oprah the other day and it was all about her best friend Gayle. Gayle loves food and one of her favorite things to eat is Monkey Bread. The whole audience got to try it and I thought I would check out the recipe. WOW! I was shocked to see how long it would take to make it, around 3 hours. You can make Fast Easy Monkey Bread in 60 minutes or less from start to eating. Please don’t be like me and dig in when it is way to hot! I always burn my mouth because I just can’t wait.

First make the dough, but remember that if you make a full recipe it is enough for 2 pans of monkey bread. In my case I made a pizza for dinner and monkey bread for dessert.

Roll out half the dough and cut it into 1 inch squares. Coat each square with cinnamon and sugar and then place in a bunt pan.

If you want to add pecans sprinkle them on the bottom of the pan and then place your cinnamon/sugar dough pieces of the top.

Then make your sauce. 1/2 cup BUTTER (real butter, no substitutes) 1 cup brown sugar. Microwave for 2 minutes but stir after 1 minute. Then add 2 tablespoons cream or milk stir until all mixed together and it looks like caramel sauce. Then drizzle all of the sauce over the dough pieces in the bunt pan. Let it rise for 10 minutes and then bake for 20 minutes.

Remove from oven and set a plate or platter over the top of the bunt pan and flip it out on to the platter. Don’t worry about smashing the monkey bread that has baked up and out of the pan. It will look great and taste even better when you flip it up.

Enjoy with friends and family, its way to much to eat by yourself, trust me!
